Consultation into women’s safety

Yvette Cooper MP, Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary and Minister for Women and Equalities, has launched a consultation to look at women’s safety, which will take evidence on the impact of the Government’s decisions on women’s safety and consider how to protect and enhance women’s personal safety.

The Consultation is being chaired by Vera Baird QC, and will be supported by Kate Green MP, Shadow Minister for Equalities, and Stella Creasy MP, Shadow Home Office Minister. It will report its findings to the Labour Party’s policy making process. The commission would like to hear your thoughts, experiences, and ideas for improving women’s personal safety.

Please spare 5 minutes of your time by visiting the website to fill out an online form, at (http://fresh-ideas.org.uk/safetyconsultation) by 24th February 2012.
