I was delighted to join members of the Liverpool Baha’i Community at the Adelphi hotel recently to mark the centenary celebration of Abdu’l-Bahá’s visit to Liverpool. It was also a chance to recognise the contribution of members of the Baha’i faith to our city, and celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of our many backgrounds, religions and cultures.
The event was an excellent opportunity to highlight this important piece of history for our city and one of its many faith communities. The Baha’i message is one of the coming together of people of different faiths, cultures and backgrounds with a key tenet being understanding and the common good. I very much enjoyed this opportunity to learn more about the history of the Baha’i faith.
